First and foremost — patience is key. Although the average timeframe to register a vehicle is around two months, delays can happen that are outside our control. These may include: Waiting for engineer reports, Backlogs for DGT appointments and Limited ITV station availability (imports are often fitted in between online bookings and cancellations) also, Additional time required if the vehicle does not pass its ITV inspection first time.
Top tip for passing the ITV:
Ensure your vehicle is in its original factory condition, without aftermarket modifications, and fitted with left-hand drive headlights. (If you need a contact to modify right-hand drive headlights, we can provide one.)
Your vehicle must remain road-legal in its country of origin until it is fully registered and fitted with Spanish number plates.
Failing to do so could result in the vehicle being impounded.
Green temporary plates can be provided at an additional cost, although they are not always necessary. Whether you require them will depend on your specific situation.
